Adobe just announced that the upcom­ing Pho­to­shop CS3 release will be split into a basic and an extended edi­tion. The extended edi­tion will have two addi­tional features:

• 3D and motion sup­port with the abil­ity to edit 3D con­tent and incor­po­rate it into 2D com­po­si­tions, paint and clone over mul­ti­ple video frames
• Com­pre­hen­sive image analy­sis with new image mea­sure­ment and count­ing tools

Could be an useful addi­tion to the architect’s visu­al­i­sa­tion work­flow. Could be a use­less mar­ket­ing stunt. We’ll know more in “spring 2007″.
